Summer Camp Reflection!!
The charter bus rolled in around 7ish and we had 60 kids to take up to the mountains that are known as the Sierras. Unfortunately, there was one small problem, 57 seats were bolted down to that bus and we had 60 people. So the day started of really, well, not so fun. So, some of us had to leave for camp in a rental, which was nice, but really immobilizing, the seats were roomy, but unlike the bus, we could not stand up and stretch our legs out. It took 7 hours to get up there in our newly rented chrystler 300, sleek and black baby, just like I like my women. Camp rocked so hard, I had a tidal wave of kids crumble on me and I fell into a wall and got shanked by a nail embedded in the wall I hit and I bled, and bled and bled...then I went to the medical office for some sweet bandages and disinfectant. But the best part of cam was the kids from Sandals, and the Spirit of God moving in their hearts. We had 8 kids pray for Salvation from Christ, and added 8 new people to the Body! Praise God for His indescribable gifts! There was fun and games and pretty darn good camp food for us, but bonds were made and friendships strengthened and God was there busting down the doors and setting His Children free from oppression from this world and from their families and it was the most amazing things I have ever been apart of.

Open Your Minds to Yahweh
I have been reading this new book called A God Who Risks and its blowing my MIIIINNNDD! Why is it blowing my mind you ask? Well because it presents an alternative view of God in the area of divine sovereignty. In other words it presents a view on weather God chooses to know absolutely everything about you and your decisions or does He choose to not know what you are going to do in order to have a more authentic relationship with you and with His creation. This is just the beginning of the theory which dives deep into Abraham and the sacrifice of Issac: The Bible says that God needed to test Abraham's faith in order to go one with the covenant. The question is: why would God need to test Abraham's faith if God already knows everything? The test was not for Abraham, it was for God, how do I know that? Because that what the Bible says. So, this book deals with all these situations and many others we are familiar with but over look because we have been told all our lives that God knows all. Open up your minds people to a God who risks His emotion with us by entering into a authentic relationship with us, instead of closing your minds to it and thinking we can have a real relationship with a God who knows everything we will do. If you don't think God doesn't change His mind read Exodus 32; And look at what God says will happen and what actually does happen. And pay special attention to Moses' prayer to God in petition about the fate of the Israelites. Hosanna in the highest!

God
God, what makes Him God besides Him being all powerful? The answer is that God is God because He pursues an authentic real relationship with us. In other words, God makes all the effort to extend Himself to us and forgive us and love us every time we sin, do we do that with each other, do we persue a self less relationship with anyone? No! Be forever greatful to God that He lets us live in His grace and practices perfect love with us.

Praise
"Hosanna" by United/Hillsong, quite possibly is the best worship song ever put together. I get teary eyed when I hear it....oh man, I love that song, there is nothing like saying Hosanna to our Father. The word means:
To express praise or adoration to
n.
1. A cry of "hosanna."
2. A shout of fervent and worshipful praise.
What are your guys' favorite worship songs?

Great Reading

I am not much of a reader but I am sure glad I read this book. I read all 141 pages in two hours and I loved every minuted of it. Erwin McManus, I have heard many things about him, some negative some positive, but geez his is amazing! I loved this book. It calls us to be Barbarians of the faith, not mindless savages, but Barbarians who are passionate about being unfearful of being insane for Jesus. He talks about civilized Christianity (comfortable Christianity) and how we hide behind it and do not live up to our potential because we are scared of being called out by God to do something radical. Jesus was radical, the early church was radical before is conformed to Roman way of life which has not left us to this day. We hold Jesus dear to us as well as holding many things that hold us back just as the Romans did, many distraction to make us stumble. A barbarian cares not about stumbling blocks, he crashes through them like a Rhino- McManus- says and doesn't care who gets in the way, if the Lord calls us to do it we do it. SIMPLY THE BEST BOOK I HAVE READ.

So Sick of Complainers
I have been on many Christian blogs in my life time and I have listened to many Chrisitan people talk as well. Alot of what is typed and what comes out of our mouths is negativity towards the church its self. Many people are unhappy with what goes on in church and yet they are not even active in any church them selves in its community. All I hear is: the church is failing in love or, the church is focused on hating homosexuals and, community is not not at the forefront and still further, discipleship is dead( Which I agree with). Any way, the point is, I you just go to a church and listen on Sundays and go home and complain about it, I would like to tell you to shut up for a second and ask yourself, what you doing to fix what you think is wrong? If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problems. I think if one gets intimately involved with your church you wont criticize, you will help to build up. I do not mean to offend, but your like a fan watching the game from the stands, you can scream and yell and tell the players what to do and how YOU would do it, but its a whole new ball game once you get in there and play!

Sin and Darkness
Do you ever feel like there is something that is attached to you that you can not get ride of? Let me specify, man sinning has never been something that I can not comprehend, but a man who loves Jesus and he keeps sinning the same sin makes me think, why? I once heard a wise pastor speak of a darker power at hand in situations were the sin can not be broken by a man's prayer or determination in the spirit. Which means, to me that I, and many other people may be under attack be the unseen darkness. I know we may not think in this realm very often, but Scripture makes it very clear that this no less real then the reality we see everyday. Now, with that said, how do we defeat these powers? The only thing that comes to my mind is, deliverance! Thsi is not jsut a prayer, this involves speaking directly to the spirit that is inside us and commanding it to leave. Now, if your like me, and you are honest with your self, hearing such a thing seems, well... a little theatrical doesn't it? I think if we can practice such things, sin would have less of a chain around our necks. what do you think?
